About Start the Fire
Adrian “Bolt” Hall doesn’t give a shit about anything…except music.
His goal? Rock stardom.
In 1981, he is on his way. He has the look, the attitude, and a band that kicks ass.
The last thing he needs is a distraction. And that’s just what SHE is.
From the moment he sees Melody wiggling her ass across the high school parking lot, he can think of nothing else. He vows to make Melody his.
There’s just one problem. She can’t stand the sight of him.
Melody Stewart grew up in a life of privilege, with wealthy parents who shipped her off to boarding school when she was younger. As she returns to public school for her senior year, there’s only one thing on her mind…fitting in.
She’s not trying to attract anyone’s attention, least of all that of an angry, punk rocker intent on taking her virginity. A guy who will use her, then discard her as he has done to countless others.
Melody is determined to resist Bolt’s advances…even it if means denying her own attraction to the spike haired, rock star wannabe.

Music and celebrities are two of my favorite things, so makes sense that I write about rockstars (so far). I've been creating stories in my head and on paper since I was a kid. I wrote my first full length novel when I was eighteen, but it wasn't until I was fifty that I got serious about becoming a published author. Eight books into this journey, there's no stopping me (well my day job does mentally drain me).
In addition to writing my other creative pursuits are photography and dancing. I've been bellydancing for twenty years and now teach it through the community education program my county offers. I also enjoy going to concerts and meeting celebrities at pop culture conventions. The best meet yet has been Jason Momoa.
I'm a cat mom as well. I saw there was an ever-growing cat population in my neighborhood and began doing TNR to help out. I've socialized many ferals and found homes for several kittens as well. My daughter has given me three amazing grand dogs who I adore and babysit often. I love animals and want to help them out in any way that I can.
