Hoyt W. C. Behm is a carpenter and tradesman who restores old real-estate. He grew up near an 1,100 acre ranch in Florida near and abouts the area he has written this series within, brining a rich background of the ranching community he witnessed growing up, and the characters who helped forge his writing and personality. He raises two children with his wife in the Fort Smith area of Arkansas where they are restoring a small farm.
